It's true....

If you stick to the programme, the longer runs are easier than you might expect.

I just ran the 25 mins of W6R3 and am a little puzzled as to why I found it easier than the 2 x 10 mins of W6R2.

For me, a steady pace and some good music are essential along with my lucky underpants of course.

Ian

p.s. just for clarity, I don't run with only my underpants on :-)

Underpants only on the Moors in November would be madness. Obviously you'd need a string vest too.

You think it’s string vest temperatures already?? πŸ˜‚

As long as it's a string vest that wiks.

Great job. Intervals are harder... in the straight run you get muscles to optimum temperature and into a rhythm, that walk in run 2 cooled you slightly and killed the rhythm. If you follow a race plan ever you will do intervals, but the total length will be lower than race distance... so you may do 4x1k, 11x400m and others for a 5k

Do remember even when you graduate, you are not yet a fully fledged superhero, so keep something over the top of the underpants for the time being.

Keep flying........
