Ok so run my week9 run 1 today and it was one of the hardest runs going. Some runs are easier than others and some harder than others but my god that was tough!! Only managed 28 mins 🤨

Don't worry! That's 28 minutes in your bank, 28 minutes you could not have imagined running a few weeks ago.

Next time you'll crack the 30 minutes, I'm sure. The podium is just a whisper away now!

Thanks Hun. I did the park run on sat and managed 5 k in 36 mins. It’s just harder round where I live because it’s hilly xx

Maybe you needed an extra rest day after your parkrun.

Yeah I think that’s what’s happened. Iv been getting pain in my bum cheek after my run but this time I had it during my run 🤔

You have done brilliantly well to get to week 9, don't be downhearted, rest up, and you'll crack it next time out ... and take note of what everyone else is saying; this is not about running 5k in the 30 minutes, very few of us achieve that, slow down a bit, and just concentrate on the 30 minute target ... well done with the Park Run by the way ...

Thanks x

As Helene says, the run has added to your stamina and kms bank. It’s just an extra 2 Minutes, but mentally the hurdle seems higher somehow. But you can do it, you’ve done all the others and we are willing you on your way

That sounds fast to me. Maybe you over-egged Parkrun Fast five k’s are hard work

Go steady and you’ll nail the final runs 👍🙂🏃‍♀️

That's ok :)

Some days are like that - we are humans, not precision machines :)

After graduation you will actually find it kind of adds to the fun wondering how the runs will go :)

The 9 weeks/5K timeline adds a but of pressure but honestly - a run is a run is a run :)

You are doing just fine and will graduate, no worries :)
