That’s week 6 out of the way. 25 minute run wasn’t anywhere near as daunting as my first 20 minute run last week. Have a dilemma though - I turn 50 next week and will be flying off to the sun for a 2 week break. I leave on Saturday which will be around W8R1 so annoyingly 5 runs before graduation. I’m going to an all inclusive resort (lots of food and alcohol) so I can’t see me doing more than two or three runs over the holiday. I’m hoping I can pick up where I left off when I get back. Anyone else been in a similar predicament ?
W6 - adios!!: That’s week 6 out of the way. 2... - Couch to 5K
W6 - adios!!
We ( accidentally) spent a night in an all inclusive hotel, (on recent a road trip) and what I will say in its favour was they had a superb gym. I actually ran on the beach though it was already hot at 8am, so didn't use the gym, but plenty of people did. So it can be done, even if you just tick over with the 25 minute wk7 runs. Failing that, have a blast and pick up again when you get back at a place you feel comfortable in the plan and you will soon get to graduate! Happy 50th birthday🎂🥂🍾
I went on holiday for 2 weeks just after graduating. Didn't run at all (It was so hot and humid it made my feet swell so I couldn't even get my trainers on!)
But when I got back I was able to run for 30 minutes still, so don't worry, it shouldn't affect your fitness.
Have a lovely holiday 🌞
No..... I haven't been that fortunate! 😥🤣
Well done!!
I graduated c25k before i turned 50 and it was my gift to me!
When i went away i took my running gear. I did not want to miss out on my consolidation runs.
Ii would suggest you take your stuff with you and try and fit your runs in. But without stressing too much. 2-3 runs are better than none! There's so much time at those all-inclusive resorts. Also you could do some other sport to keep fit while away.
All that said, a holiday is a holiday. So do what you feel like without guilt. 😁
Happy birthday and happy running too! Have a great holiday!
