Me and week 8 split up yesterday after a brief romance. I last saw her on saturday but realised after 28 mins she wasn't for me ππ. Back on my app this morning and i found another fitter looking run called W9 and we decided to go out today to see if we were compatible ππββοΈπββοΈ
It was cold today so I struggled to keep warm especially around hamstrings but we persevered and 30 mins later our first date was over. I even met with one of my old gremlin friend's at around 3k who tried to talk me into quitting but he didn't hang around long. πβ
I thought the extra 2 mins would be no problem but don't disrespect it when it comes because it's longer than it sounds
Anyway the good news is me and W9 are going on a second date on Wednesday so I went up to town to buy some new thermals in preparation π You can never be too careful
Will let you know how it goes
Ps just tried on my all black cold weather top and trousers and look like a fatter version of the man off of the advert "all because the lady loves milk tray" π€£π€£ππ€£
If you don't know what that is Google it and you'll see what I mean lol
Have a good running week πββοΈπββοΈ
Right I'm off to deliver some more chocolates β»β»π

Ha ha glad your date with W9R1 went very smoothly and you look forward to meeting him for a second date on Wednesday, I am sure that 30 minutes with him will be fun and you will make a further date with him for Friday when you run with him for the third 30 minutes and at the end of that run he will give you a graduation badge for completing C25K, he might even ask you to marry him.
Brilliant! Hope you and W9 enjoy your second date. Donβt get too attached though as youβll soon be wanting to dump her, and youβll even get a badge for doing so π
Have you met Parkrun yet? Youβll be smitten if/when you do! ππ π
Wolvesmad you tart dumping W8 so casually after just 3 fleeting encounters! Well luckily for W8, there's a whole load of newer members that will be taking an interest in her this week! π
Great Post & well done, enjoy your W9, it's the best one by far π
I hope your next date will be pure pleasure. I just wanted to warn you that W9 is not very loyal and dates several of us. I think most of us stick wtit for several weeks even.
Thermals are my best friends and technical materials. I did some running shopping myself this Saturday. For now my new long leggings are doing well
Sounds like you're smitten. For now! But I know about people like you and I tell you now, it won't last! Give it a week, I say, and you'll be dumping this one too and moving on to the next one π(do they still make milk tray?).
I am with you on that, I love chocolate but can no longer enjoy sugary milk chocolate. I like a bit of 80% cocoa choc with a nice cup of coffee after a meal, but a couple of squares max.
Iβm really struggling with week 8, I was flirting with the idea of going back to week 7 and giving it another go. The dark nights are creating problems in our relationship and week 8 has definitely been the most demanding of partners .
There's nothing wrong with repeating a week if you really want to, but W8 got easier for me with each run so maybe just carry on & see how you go? Good luck!
You can keep week 7 I didn't like her at all. Too demanding. We didn't get on at all. We are still not speaking and she still has my record collection lol
I've dumped Week 8 too this morning - he wasn't really my type, in fact I've been flirting with Wk9 whilst also dating Wk8, for shame! I didn't see the point of 28mins running when I could just do two more and get to 30mins, felt a bit naughty not following the dating rules, but Wk9 was just so attractive and kept teasing me so I gave in...β¦ :o)
