Please don’t worry Dontfoget. I think the first outing is the worst as we don’t know what to expect. Take it nice & slow.Listen to your body & try not to pressurise yourself. This journey is about you so your in charge of it. Wishing you well 👍🏻

I was the same and just finished week 1. It is hard but really worth trying. It is such a sense of achievement when you finish each run

Yes you will and don’t listen to those blinking Gremlins- they try and tell you that you can’t do it - kick em into touch!!!

Fat, fed up & fail or fat, fed up & free?

The first two things running can help with for sure, you will feel so much better in a matter of weeks (just check out the posts on this forum).... But only you can decide on the third choice. So get out there and give this a go, without worrying! Don't pre-decide that you're going to struggle... Just go out and do what you can.... Anything is better than nothing.....

My first run was truly shocking.

My advice, go very slowly, it's not actually a run as I imagined it to be.

Good luck, and enjoy yourself, this programme really works😊

Brilliant!

I should try running outside -- it's great (much more varied).

Don't give up! I, and I'll bet most others who start out also have 'giving up' thoughts many times. It's not a race, it's simply you for you. Take your time, find your own comfortable pace and enjoy. Forget the 5k bit, aim for the 30 minute none stop run. Distance will come in time if you really want that but my guess is that most newbies on here, like me, won't make the 5k in 30 minutes in week 9. I can do it now, but it's taking me about 38 minutes just now. It may reduce, but if not I'm not bothered, I'm at a pace I'm comfortable with and enjoying it. Keep going!

Good luck with your running 🤞🏽. Slow but sure. Beleive me, the first 60 seconds are the worst of the whole programme! 😃🏃🏻‍♀️👍🏼
