What a great (tough but gr8) journey it's been over the last 9 weeks. Today I completed the last 30 min run of the programme and continued to reach 5 Km in 35.03 mins. I'm delighted with this as it was a v. Cold and windy morning.
I feel so good, for as well as C25K I've just finished the NHS weight loss programme and with both plans in action have lost over 10 Kg.
I should be out of 5 year remission period from cancer at the end of the year and hope I can maintain this fantastic feeling.
I now intend to concentrate on barefoot (minimalistic footwear) running, improving my style, running for fun and without injury for 30 min X 3 times a week.
Would like to thank all the C25K family and particular the administrators for contributing such enthusiasm, support and knowledge......thank you all and enjoy your running.

That's a lovely reply jayval70, thank you. Good luck with your training towards graduation. Have fun, try and enjoy every run, even though they may feel tough at the time.
Congratulations to you Jag for graduating, its been a hard journey so just enjoy your celebrations of knowing that C25K has helped your running journey today with graduating. π π π π π
My hip is no longer sore, thanks Jag, that is why I was able to run my 1st 5K in the time I ran it, also I have been running quite a bit recently and it shows no signs of coming back, I also had a corn at the back of my right toe which has been bothering me on and off for several years, especially when I went on long walks during the winter months and recently when I ran, but it too has gone and shows no sign of coming back.
Double congratulations on graduating and that 5k. Best advice Iβve seen for going minimalist is to start with one run a week... good luck on that journey. Have a great celebration.
Cheers Ian and thanks for the great mentoring that you have provided me and others πβΊ
Something I noted that you posted today that I was not aware of re: parkruns:
NHS C25K can be entered as the running club.
Although I've registered with parkruns, I've not taken part yet; just been on their site and added ny new club information (of which I'm very proud). I think this is a great way of highlighting how the NHS help people improve and maintain their health and fitness.
Wow! Many congratulations both on your weight loss and on your graduation! Enjoy your time on the podium and all the very best for your onward running journey. πππΎπ₯ππ ππ»πβοΈππ»π€ΈββοΈππ»π€ΈββοΈππ»π€ΈββοΈI think that I can hear the clapping from here!
Hi, I have read your reply to IannodaTruffe and I also have NHS C25K as my running club. There only seem to be three NHS C25K-ers who have taken part at my local park run, although there are sometimes over 500 runners!
I expect that some of the other runners began with C25k but don't record their club. The vast majority of runners who run at my local park run don't have a club name by they name.
lovely post, many congratulations on completing C25K, inspiring to hear other peoples stories, keeps me going. I hope you continue getting out there and doing it. x
