Well, this morning I completed my 8th parkrun and finally broke the 30 minute 'barrier' with a time of 29.12, not bad for a 62 year old! When I started C25K last October, like many here I had not done any running since school a zillion years ago. The last year has been pretty good with just a couple of weeks on the IC and a few repeated weeks then a lot of consolidation. All done on a treadmill until someone had the bright idea of organising a new parkrun in my town. Despite not liking the idea of running outdoors, it had to be done!
To anyone just starting out, C25K really works and can be life changing, stick with it - you can do this!

8 Parkruns and breaking the 30 minute barrier - that’s brilliant. It’s good running out doors isn’t it? Fresh, bright, cold, possibly grey and wet, but all good. Enjoy! 🎉🌻
Thanks jlw34 & Gran4z. Very cold but sunny here this morning. Seeing the volunteers all wrapped up makes you think but once you get going, yes it's a great feeling running outdoors!
