Bye bye week 6

Hiya from Prague. Wow that was so cool, I was expecting the w6r3 25 minute run to be tough. I haven't run for 5 days but from the outset I felt strong increasing the pace for the last two minutes because I could. Even punched the air at the end I felt so good. Could have run further but of course I didn't. So for those just starting out or perhaps struggling a bit on their own C25k journey I can confirm the following 1) trust the programme it works 2) take your rest days, they are as important as the run days 3) taking more than one rest day can be very good 4) keep it slow and steady however strong and confident you may feel and 5) don't be afraid to go even slower as the distance increases. Hope that helps someone. Really looking forward to week 7 now and feel that 30 minute run is within my sights. Bye all and thanks for the ongoing support and motivation 😊

Great to hear you’re rested legs were ready for action... great run. Wonder what the locals made of the air punching? Crazy brits! Enjoy week 7.

You ran 25 minutes and still felt you could have run some more? Then 30 minutes is yours for the taking! Not long now!

Huge well done, I did the same run last night and was so pleased with myself I really can see the 30 mins on the horizon now πŸŽ‰ in two months I’ve gone from running 30 seconds and feeling like I’m dying to 25 mins and feeling fabulous! I still can’t believe it and to be called a real runner after the run by Laura was the icing on the cake! Well done us!!!

Thanks HomeEdMum, I just read your first post from August and it's great that you've achieved so much. I'm on a rest day today and can't believe that I'm itching to run! I won't because I know on rest days my muscles are repairing and getting stronger but ....😊😊
