I forgot to say when I did my 'graduate speech' that the best advice for me was to trust the programme...I am a slow coach runner, I was/am a bit fat, I used to smoke. And drink. Next time I see my G.P. I will say to him about C25K, and what it's changed for me. I am a full time carer for my very ill daughter, and I have had quite big probs with mental health...life has been a bit rubbish for the last 8 years, but doing this programme has been such a boost for me, and my family too. If you're just starting or half way through, whatever, wherever you are - Trust the programme - please do.
We are the champions...: I forgot to say when I... - Couch to 5K
We are the champions...
Congratulations graduate! You are an inspiration and I hope I do as well as you xx
Those with the most problems often show the most heart of all. Glad you have more than just the running from this.... Wish you the very best of luck, long may the better times continue!
It’s great that the impact of this is more than just a new ability learned. Keep on running and it’ll get better and better.
Well done. I agree with regard to mental health. It’s really helped me a lot on that front.
Well done Woodrunner, this is a real life changing programme. At least 3 of us on the bridge to 10k forum have been taken off our blood pressure tablets as a result of running (just 6 months in my case). It has improved mental health and an asthmatic no longer has a problem . It's worth staying with it.
