So the weekend was rather a damp squid in terms of running. Dressage lesson got brought forward on Saturday as other lily livered riders had cancelled due to the rain. So my first park run got exchanged for riding round in circles getting wet to my undergarments! Needless to say by the afternoon I had zero enthusiasm to get wet again doing w5r2.
Today was beautiful and sunny but this time a riding club event. Got home later than expected and completely pooped. No running today either. So I'm going to have to use the dreadmill at work tomoz. I enjoy running outside and really missed not running in the sun this weekend. (Words that would not have passed my lips at any prior point in my life!! If such a thing existed I would put a sloth emoji here 😂) The treadmill just feels like a chore. Maybe I should man up and try running outside in the dark instead....
If you've got this far then I'm amazed you don't have something more exciting to do than read my ramblings 😍

I was never a morning person until I started this, but I do think i prefer it. Too many excuses on an evening. Give it a try if u can, u might surprise yourself and like it!
Oh god, me and treadmill don’t get along. I don’t think my brain quite understands why the floor is moving and I’m stationary! This results in some weird unnatural motion. It run outside or don’t run at all for me. I stared the program running evenings in the dark. It isn’t so bad if you find a mostly well lit route. There’s always head torches If that works for you. Not a morning person at all but I am thinking of trying once. Maybe a park run! P.S. thanks again for your kind message asking where I disappeared too x
Some of us are on rest days with plenty of time to read all of your post!
I see the positive in the post that you’ve really missed the running. Running in the dark may take equipment and also planning. If you’ve not ticked all the boxes for that yet, the dreadmill may be a chore, but it will keep you nicely on track.
I truly believe this forum is the difference between me graduating or returning to the couch. The outlet to download your triumphs and disappointments, or general ramblings is fantastic. To then get the support and advice from everyone is just so heartwarming.
And to top it all its reassuring, and often inspiring to read all the other posts. The camaraderie is awe inspiring. Look, I've gone a gushy! Give myself a slap and get back to work
Do you have any goals after graduation? They may help to keep you motivated too. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my weekend off, still looking for a short term goal, but back in the shoes in a bit.
