OMG, I am absolutely buzzing. Thanks to the support from this group i actually ran for 20 mins without stopping. Me, a slightly overweight 55 year old who has always been crap at any sort of sport or exercise smashed it! As MJ told me I had done it U2 were on my c25k playlist singing 'Beautiful day', it certainly is. Bring on wk6, I'm ready!
W5R3, I did it!: OMG, I am absolutely buzzing... - Couch to 5K
W5R3, I did it!

That's how it's done Sparkest! You completely deserve the buzz, have yourself a fabulous day! Be careful to not get carried away in W6... Staying injury free in the most important thing right now, small steps now, big differences long term π enjoy!

Well done indeed! Great achievement. ππππππ

Great job... over half way through this now and able to just run... itβs only tiny steps up to the 30 now... keep going just as you are.
Hi UNM I know you were following me on my rerunning of C25K after my sore hip healed, yesterday I ranπ my first full 5k in a time of 34.21π. I was very pleased with the run but also felt very tired. π΄π
Thatβs brilliant news! You can rest today π. Nice time too. Iβm having a weekend off, back on it tomorrow with 30 comfortable minutes.
Well "I have sort of rested today" I also love cycling and walking. Yesterday about 2 hours after that 5k run I went on a short 30 minute cycle π΄ ride just to exercise my legs around a little part of that same 5k route. This morning I thought to myself 'why not take a leisurely walk round that same 5k course that I was so happy to complete yesterday'. So this morning I walked at about 3mph around it in light rain which when completed took me 61 minutes. I hope you and Miss UNM are keeping well.

You are doing great. ππEnjoy the buzz - it will get stronger and stronger as you go the the rest of the programme

Congratulations to you Sparkest for running 20 minutes non π stop of week 5 run 3, onwards and upwards ππ

Snap! More than slightly overweight 55 year old - just done my W5R3 today too!
Well done to you too - Feels great, doesnβt it?! π

Congratulations! Now celebration time! Huge milestone in your bag.
I am so happy for you! You are actually further than half way 55% of the programme completed - 15 out of 27 all runs! That is amazing!
Rest properly, and remember not to underestimate week 6 intervals that look easy peasy, but many of us got punched pretty hard by W6R1. But you can do it! Just as always - slow and steady
Well done. What a great achievement
