Ahh Iβm saving myself for a cheeky Chinese hangover cure tomorrow. Also if I ordered a curry tonight I would totally have a naan bread and rice!! Iβve met drunk me before! Iβm on the Keto diet which means no carbsπ’π’π’ I donβt think anyone understands how much I love bread, particularly good sourdough bread! But otherwise it is a grand diet I get to eat bacon, cheese and sausages and boat loads of delicious high fat things with lots of above the ground veg. So it actually suits me well so Iβm seldom hungry.
Weβve been doing it for close to 4 months and Iβm 20kgs down-I have a lot to lose! A LOT!!! I need to lose a whole human being of the same height...she might be shorter now.
Rice has never bothered me, cauliflower egg fried rice works exceedingly well.
I do enjoy it actually, I have my bulletproof coffee every morning for breakfast, that was the hardest thing to get over. Butter and mct oil in coffeeπ€. But once blended with a sugar free syrup (my favourite is peanut butter cup) itβs just like a frothy latte. I have a couple of babybells as a snack then leftovers for lunch. Once you have had chillie including chorizo and a pack of streaky bacon with butter fried cauliflower rice with garlic I promise there is no turning back..
Like C25k the first week is the hardest! You still want the sweet things. (Thatβs are sweet things on Keto you just donβt know about them yet) I was prepared though. Duck and increased our βKeto happyβ fats the week before we started so we negated βKeto fluβ but when we cheat we have runny bums for 3 days.
My diets tend to last about an hour!! Being signed off work isnβt helping!! Iβve gone from working shift work to nothing π hoping I can get back to work in a week or so ππ»
For some wierd reason they are way better runners than we are. Every run I am so jealous.
For past 40 days I am on super strict diet due to health reasons. I am on low carb, easy digest, avoid almost everything diet. Very rarely I have bread as a treat. No sweets. No added sugar, although 3 times I added half of a teaspoon to my huge super weak coffee. I must say it is very difficult. It got easier with time, but I still dream of some foods and meals.
As a side effect of a diet I lost quite few pounds. Now I need to work on those muscles, otherwise I may disappear on this diet plus running But I find it so hard for now to add an extra workout, when I'm running 3x a week, and I don't want to burn my muscles before run.
Once again, huge well done! Now you can relax while watching one of the film's from your impressive collection.
Hats off to anyone that can sustain a diet. But donβt label it. Surely a diet is the food you eat. We put so much pressure on ourselves with the word Diet that we forget that food in general is a diet.
I call it Diet, as it is temporary until I will find out the cause(s) of my flare ups. Then, I will go back to my healthy eating with adjustment to whatever findings I will have.
I've had several medicals tests plus couple of visits with dietetician. Tests all good. Dietetician... in short: I am very sorry I can't/don't know how to help you.
As a scientist, I decided to do my own experiments.
I've started from PE (very long time ago), then moved to chemistry, followed by food chemistry, then I progressed into molecular biology, just to be in forensics at the moment. It probably sounds way cooler than it is in reality.
