W7R2 Date with my new trainers πŸ‘Ÿ

I still struggle to find the motivation to get out of the door to run and wish I felt excited about pounding the pavements but alas I don't. This morning though I got to run in my new trainers. They are nice and bouncy and felt great just out of the box. Did it make me run any faster or easier, no. Think I'll return for a refund hehe. Change of route this morning to mix it up which made the first half easier than the last half. One more run to complete W7. Good luck to those running today.

Me too. Im worried about not having the structure that goes with following the plan but dont really want to progress to 10k as i think 5k is enough for me, I've ran 10ks and halfs before and to me they are soul destroying.

So, maybe stick with 5 and follow a plan to improve that? Most of them do involve some longer runs though... Nike take you all the way to 16k for a 5k race which will help me to marathon too, but may not be what you need! Wish there was an app where you could say β€œthis is how much time I have on these days, here’s my pace(s) and I want to run this far” and then build a plan. With the current crop you can keep that down by lying about your current mileage.

I'm only in week 4 but I'm not a fan of getting up early, getting my kit on or the run itself at all. But I do love how I feel afterward and for the rest of the day!

Well done. Ive missed the very early runs as I'm on annual leave this week, think i prefer running in the dark as the roads are nice and quiet. Good luck with the programe and take each run as it comes, it really does work x
