W4R1 tomorrow. Hip & ankles aching even when walking 😞

Do I try & “run it off” or have another rest day - not sure?

I would see how you feel tomorrow, if you are feeling pain give it another day. I was getting real pain in my knees and was advised to run on grass as reduced impact.

Probably sound advice. My route I could do partly on grass so maybe that will help.

Just don’t want to be looking out for dog poop!

Some aches and pains are normal... depends on the nature of the pain. See how you feel and if you do go, be prepared to stop if you get sharp or stabbing pain, or if it gets more intense.

It’s not sharp stabbing pain, more dull ache like toothache if you get my drift

They’re pretty normal... what Oldfloss said below IMO

Normal aches and pains we expect. Real pain no... make sure you are putting in strength and stamina exercise on some of your rest days..and do your stretches after every run.

Slow and steady as you go.

I’ll see how I go. Might leave it until tomorrow evening rather than AM.

Have you got trainers fitted for your gait ? That makes a big difference...

No not yet, was waiting until about week 4/5 just to make sure I’d stick with it

You won’t believe the difference. I was the same on Week 4 that’s when I got mine and knee and hip pains all stopped

Defo worth doing then

Trainers bought with a gait analysis and it’s made a huge difference, I agree with catmo13 😀

Oooh also frozen peas on bits that tend to get sore, 15 mins post run and 15 mins before bed. The better half calls me the peas knees as I sit on the floor icing them.😳

😆😆

Will try the frozen peas
