So Iβm back and completed week 3 and today started W4R1 π³π³π³
I didnβt die π€·π½ββοΈ Although I did have a couple of π€¬π€¬ moments but that was because Iβm a total moron π obviously
However I did complete it. Not only that but I didnβt get over taken by any of the following
Stones (always a problem)
Sloth (they are only in zoos ) unless you live in one π€
Snails ππ€
Snakes π ok so just wanted to carry on the S theme: to be fair if I saw one I would probably pass out and then get eaten by the bloody thing π³π
How are you all doing?

I'm so glad you are already back and you haven't been eaten or overtaken by snakes and sloths
I share emotions toward stones. They tend to suddenly overtake you, just at the moment when you feel it is going well and when you are convinced that you have nice steady, not so slow pace
Surprisingly, when you have a break, sometimes even the longer one, your body kind of process it, adapt, and whenever you are out again, it already knows what to do.
I've just finished first run of week 5, time to shower, and write to my lovely running family Apart from that some stupid cold is trying to catch me, but I keep running away quite literally.
It was lonely (no doggie with me) and surprisingly enjoyable and almost easy.
I used to practiced hike away from cold. Now, I'm running away I need to say: so far so good. I am now a little afraid to stop I feel that I will fall apart, starting from my nose.
I wouldn't need a neck warmer :'D I'd rather cast out my inner Santa and his belly. I am aware that I come close to the age of lady mustache, but I will deny it as long as I can. And I will keep running away from it
Thank you! I may need some - longer work day, not so great weather (so far). But reading all the good stuff in here and getting motivated by other W4-W5 running companions
Iβm good thanks Ibot, W6R2 tomorrow... how did that happen?! Think I need to get some proper running trainers now as Iβm getting a couple of aches but nothing serious just a niggle. My old Reebok Classics just arenβt cutting it anymore! Enjoy your W4R2 tomorrow - good to have you back on here π
Yes, I'm going to get a Gait analysis I think. Get them to film me on a treadmill and watch my bandy legs going all over the place! Better get saving up π¬
I wouldn't say easy, but I am finding it... manageable! ...Gotta trust the plan!
Getting a bit hooked I think, love the challenge, also the feeling and energy it gives you. You sound like you find the runs pretty easy going though, you don't seem to have too much drama going on during the actual run (just before and after when you're talking about it!!!) it all seems to go pretty well for you?
I know itβs funny isnβt it, they look so daunting then boom! Youβve gone and done the whole week!
Yes, they do the gait (ha! not garden gate!) analysis in running shops. In my nearest one they do it when you go to get measured up for trainers and itβs included in the price when you buy the them or Β£20-Β£30 if you donβt. Worth getting trainers though, because they make sure you get the perfect fit. They are obviously more expensive... but youβre getting expert advice.
Probably best not to ask π was back at ENT and they want me to see the consultant. They are also referring me for hearing aids ππ hopefully they will improve before then. Iβm still not back at work as Iβm apparently a health and safety issue π€·π½ββοΈπ Bet you wish you hadnβt asked π
Glad I have running and this forum as life is pretty boring at the moment
Bloody h&s! Fingers crossed the consultant will be able to sort you out x Let's find a silver lining...at least you have plenty of time to run and you can pamper yourself whilst waiting for you return to work.
