Ouch my legs ache! I don’t know how I did it but I broke 30 minutes today at Parkrun. I’ve been aiming for this since my first Parkrun back in May and today I’m officially just over 29mins. So all those people worrying that they can’t do 5k in 30 minutes, don’t stress, it can really take all your time and patience to get there but if you think you can do it, go for it...but don’t be in a hurry! It’s taken me 4 months to shave 4 minutes off, but I got there in the end😁
Now I’ve done that I can finally work on putting some distance in. I am going to slow it down and see what I can do. I think I’m overdue joining the JuJu’s 10k plan, so maybe I’ll join the next session of that.
So Flaraflarkin I’d better make a decision eh? 🦆🦆🦆 🙀

Well done to you TailChaser for running a sub 30 minute 5k at this mornings Parkrun, it's a dream for most here on C25K to achieve that despite the average time for more experienced runners to run a 5k is around 28 minutes, over the next few weeks you should be able to run a 28 minute 5k at your local Parkrun.
Congratulations TailChaser , it’s what we are all aiming for and it’s got to be achieved at parkrun! Well done you. Yes please join us on the magic plan - if I can do this , you definitely can. Now what are you going to do about those flying ducks.
I remember I won a set of those at the fair and mum and dad put them on the wall. Aren’t parents great? 🦆🦆🦆
Definitely Dexy! Parkrun has kept me going since graduating, now I need a new goal (not that I’m giving up Parkrun, I have t-shirts to earn 😁).
I always wanted some of those
flying ducks on my wall - have you still got them? Good old parents 😁 They’re going to be on my shoulder blade instead I think (when I pluck up the courage!!).
See you on the plan 😀 I’ll be amazed if I can do 6k let alone 10k but I think we all surprise ourselves constantly on here 😁
I have certainly surprised both me and UTS. No I’m afraid the flying ducks probably disappeared after I left primary school. 🤣. I have seen some beautiful flying seagulls in silver since and regret not buying them.
You can still do parkrun as your 5k run but only if you can do the long runs in the week.
