Less than 10% of graduates do the 5k in or before week 9... don’t worry about that, you will be meeting the NHS guideline of 30 minutes heart rate raising exercise 3 times a week... that’s your life changed. Work on 5k later if you want to.

Don’t worry. Most people don’t reach 5k in week 9 and it doesn’t matter: the objective is to run continuously for thirty minutes regardless of distance. You can build up to 5k after graduation.

Frankly no, and it would be unwise to attempt 5k in 30 minutes from that base......but as the others have said, you are in good company and there is plenty of time.

The graduation requirement is to do three thirty minute runs, with no specific distance requirement.

You are doing great.

Probably not but that's fine! Just run for the 30 mins. You can get to 5k at some point in whatever time it takes. And maybe unlike me you will one day run 5k in 30 mins! I honestly don't think I ever will! And thats fine with me! 🐌🐌🐌

Probably not.... but why worry... as IannodaTruffe says... all you need is the 30 minutes.... the rest may follow :)

I echo everyone else. Just enjoy your 30 minute runs and build from there if you want do. 😀

Hi Walthair, you run a little faster than me I got to just over 3k by the end of C25k a little over a month ago, I planned to up my time running by 5 mins for 3 runs just like the programme; did 3 x 35 min runs fine getting to 2 miles then on my next run doing my usual route just decided to plod on and see how far I’d get and I managed a full 5k in 54.48, then on my second go at a 5k managed to knock 48 secs off that. My 3 runs now I’m planning on 1 - 1 miler to try and up my pace, 1 - 5k the 1 - see far I get before the legs give up lol. Well done keep going you can do it.
