Not running often enough?

I’m on Week 3 run 1 today and finding it a daunting prospect.

Work is very busy, and I also pack in Pilates yoga and a gym session so struggling to run more than twice a week.

Would you say this is often enough?

I realise that you are supposed to do x3 runs a week.

I guess it's just a general guide. People have busy lives , so just fit it in when you can. I only get out twice a week sometimes. It'll take me longer therefore to finish the program, but it doesn't matter. Just get out there when you can & enjoy it 🏃👍😊

From what I understand one run a week will maintain a runner, two will add development... so while it will take longer, you are in that development zone... get a third in if it fits, but there’s no need to worry that you can’t do this on two runs a week.

Work/life balance is a difficult juggling act at the best of times, if it works for you running twice a week then go with it 😊 it is supposed to be enjoyable not a drudge...

It doesn't matter how long it takes you to do the program , the only thing i would say is it is good to get into routine so it becomes the normal if possible ..

Good luck not that you will need it 😊

Thanks!! I’m starting from a low point health wise as I had pneumonia 2 years ago and it’s left me with mild lung damage so I’m happy with my progress! My lungs feel great - not sure about the rest of me 😊

It's your journey, so the schedule is totally up to you! If you aren't in a hurry to get to 30 minutes of running, there's no issue with taking it slower, especially with your other exercise through the week. It will just take extra time, that's all. :)

Glad to hear your lungs are feeling good! It sounds like you're really making exercise a priority, 4x a week and varied exercise sounds amazing!
