After great advice on here, I decided to just enjoy my run yesterday and not worry about pace. With that in mind, I tried a different route with some inclines (can’t really call them hills in East Anglia!) The C25k app paused twice in the warm up and had stopped again when I started running, so I gave up with it and used Strava for my planned 30 minute run. I increased my pace in the last couple of minutes and when my 30 minutes run time was up, to my great surprise and delight, I had still managed to run 5k! Feeling accomplished 💪🏻
3rd post grad run - it’s finally getting easie... - Couch to 5K
3rd post grad run - it’s finally getting easier 😃

Congratulations on a great 5k run. As I remember it some of the humpback bridges were pretty steep. I actually find long small inclines worse than steep short ones and I think they should put a crawler lane in my local trail. You’re certainly developing post grad, keep enjoying it.
Yes. It was easier going up the flyover than the long incline at the beginning!

Well done, it seems like it's finally coming together for you! I found that I started to enjoy it more when I stopped relying on the app, and just switched Strava on, with 500m chines to tell me how long i went. Nowadays, I tend to just plan a route, put on some music and go.
Sounds like a good way to go. I’m not very tech minded, so I have to keep looking at Strava 😂 I’ll have to look into the settings to make life easier.
Just before you press go, look in the settings: it will give you the option to be told about your distance. Have you joined the NHS c25k group on there?
Thank you! I’ll try that tomorrow morning. I didn’t realise I could also join a group on there. Thanks for the info. I’ll look at that too. I love this site! So much great advice, support and inspiring posts 🙂

Congratulations. Enjoy your next run 🏃♀️ cx
