Woke up this morning feeling a little fed up, not sure if it’s the change in weather. Thought I’d have a nice relaxing day at home in my pyjamas 🙈🙈 but then Mr Sunshine popped out to say hello and I put my big girl pants on and decided to go for a quick run. 5k done means I’ve successfully completed 3 x 5k since graduation 30 mins 52 secs today....
First week of consolidation runs ✅: Woke up this... - Couch to 5K
Couch to 5K
30.52 is a excellent time for you Schofield, not long now until you have a sub 30 minute 5k.
Great pace there... I love the way you consider 5k as a “quick run”. Keep on doing it.
It’s not as good as the other day but I’m ok with that.... I’m still in new runner mode and I’ll build on my pace as I go..... I didn’t actually intend doing 5k today, just thought I’d do a 15 min run but just continued when I hit 3k 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Ah... I see. Well, it doesn’t do to PB every run... there’s a lot of truth in “slow down to speed up” but that’s all to come after some more runs!
Another great run. And the time is brilliant. 👏👏. I also nipped out for a 5k in the sun in Wakey this afternoon . Lovely run to shift the after effects of last nights gin 😁
Oh dear.... gin not good 🤣🤣 I did my usual golden acre run....: whereabouts in Wakey do you run? Newmiller dam used to be a fave of mine when I lived out that way 😊
I know. The gin was lovely at the time but not this morning 😁Not tried Newmillerdam yet. Might give it a try. East Ardsley Reservoir is a fav of min. Really flat and about 2.4k all the way round, so I do 2 or 3 laps. It’s a great location
Its quite flat from what I remember, used to mountain bike around it in my younger days ... your route sounds perfect, I need to find some winter running routes
