well I did it !!

completed 9 weeks, and feel good that I managed it, I am impressed with the programme because at the outset I was hopeless, could barely manage the 90 second jogs. I am still slow, but I aim to keep doing 3 x 30 mins per week and maybe try a park run one day.

Also, I would like to thank those that provided invaluable tips and encouragement along the way, I read all of them and the information was wonderful, and often amusing. I will tell anyone who is considering this to give it a go, I didnt come home to a fanfare or bugles playing , everyone had gone to bed, but inwardly its a good feeling. 61, and I was more than a little doubtful two months ago.

Congratulations! Your progress is down to a great plan and a hard worker following it. Extreme heat, storms, dark mornings and nights... none of that could stop you. Very well done... enjoy every run you go on.

Very well done you! I have just 2 runs left to do (managed to run 30 mins this morning for the first time - like you at the beginning, and even in W5 and 6, I very much doubted that I would make it this far). I agree this is a brilliantly designed programme, and the encouragement I've had from reading the forum has been invaluable. Enjoy your next steps : )

Amazing, well done! I'll be doing the same, 3 x 30 runs once I've completed to increase pace and stamina. Congrats on completing the course and getting your graduate badge!

Hi trapeze.

I am 71 and haven't quite completed couch to 5k yet but I have started park run and you should give it a go. Everyone is so friendly and you don't Have to run the whole way. I am nearly always last but that's ok. It's better than laying in bed on a Saturday morning

Well done. My story is very similar. I'm also 61 and completed the programme a few weeks ago after being shocked at my lack of stamina at the start. I've continued running for 30 mins 3 x a week, and although still slow my distance in that time is gradually improving (now up to 4.3km). I feel much fitter and the sense of achievement has definitely give me a psychological lift. Jog on !!

Thank you, I do sometimes wonder whether I will get faster, but my main aim was to keep going for the 30 mins, well done for sticking to it and progressing.
