So having asked for advice about how to do w5r1 during a parkrun, I admit I got carried away and ran it all. The first 5 mins was hardest but the sense of achievement is great. I will be returning to the programme next time but never believed I would ever run 5k x

Great job Oggy... hope you loved the experience. Now you know you got 5k, so stay careful and back on the plan to avoid injuries... you got this.

Good plan. Going back to the plan will help you avoid injury but the knowledge that you have already done 5k once is not going to do your confidence or motivation any harm. By the time you get to week 8, if you discipline yourself to do your warmup walk at the start of the parkrun rather than before it (i.e walk the first 0.5k or 1k) the 28 minute run will probably take you most of the rest of the way anyhow.

Awesome! πŸŽ‰πŸ™ŒπŸ€©πŸ’ͺ

Alway find the first 5mins the hardest untill your breathing and hartrate levels out.
