Back on Track :-)

So, a little later than I thought, I've now completed W9R1, so barring a disaster, only two more runs to go before I'm a fully fledged graduate and runner :-)

I'm still seeing the physio, but she's been pleased with my progress and, touch wood, the tendonitis has abated.

I set off for my run at about 5.30 this evening in heavy rain, but, I blooming well love it. I find it almost exhilarating to run in the rain.

Whilst I was out I got to thinking that when I first started out (in probably weeks 1-3) I used to drive somewhere away from where I live to lessen the chances of me being seen by anyone that knew me. I wore grey leggings and a black t-shirt, lest I should draw attention to myself.

So, I did have a giggle to myself as I was running alongside a busy road in our village wearing a bright pink showerproof jacket with blue and pink speckled leggings, there's no missing me now that's for sure!

Mr Boniobiscuits has been cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats and is due to arrive there on Saturday. I'm heading up there to support him and cheer them all over the 'finish line' So as we'll be there for a couple of days, I'm hoping to do W9R2 as my first run away from home turf. Wick will be a welcome change in scenery for sure :-)

I just did my W9 run 1 this morning. So I think we're both on track to finish . I'm icing both my Achilles after as they are sore to touch., also doing calf raises on the stairs. They don't hurt when I'm running though....But I'm taking it slow. I'm not sure if I'm loving running as much as everyone else on this forum...But I'm determined to graduate! I hope your injury goes away soon .
