Week 6 : Run 2

I found that tough but I did quite a bit of running training my dog at Agility last night and coming up to end of my first ten minute run I bashed my head really hard ducking under a barrier which I run under every run. How I managed to do it I have no idea but it really hurt and I thought I was going to be sick. My stubbornness kicked in and I refused to stop running. It was actually more painful during the 3 min recovery walk. Once I started running again it wasn’t so bad. Now I have finished it’s really throbbing 🤕🙄. Generally I have found the first two runs of this week much tougher than I expected but I am pleased to be able to dig deep and finish them. I have no idea how I will cope with Friday’s run; I am not feeling quite as confident about it as I did week 5’s run 3. Personally I find the first part of my run the toughest (maybe due to the incline on that part of my route) and then the second half I find I get a second wind and don’t really want to stop. Good luck everyone. A photo of the offending barrier I took on the walk back to the car 🤬

Ouch! Have a lie down if you can when you're home.

The gremlins were really out to get you today! You beat them again though, great job.

Don’t fear the next one, the two sets of intervals you’ve done will have you ready for it... you can do it

With a heavy head cold, I decided not to do the two week 6 runs and instead went for a week 2 run just to keep the momentum up! Well done you’re now head of me! Hope your head feels better soon.

Ah thank you. Hope you feel better soon. You will soon be back on track, meantime what a good idea to do a run from an earlier week to keep in the game. Will let you know how I cope on Friday.
