Final run now completed. I didn’t manage 5k in 30 minutes until w9, r2. I really pushed myself on that run and went too hard at the start and had to slow down for the second part. I found it really hard to manage my breathing and keep going. Lesson learned! Go at a pace that’s right for me!
For my final run I had new ‘proper’ trainers, I ate a banana just before (usually I don’t eat before), I focussed on my breathing, after reading tips on here and I held a steady pace throughout. At the end I had ran exactly 5k. It felt manageable (still not easy) and I enjoyed it. Now to consolidate 🙂
