Losing my running mojo, help!

Hi everyone,

In need of some tips to bring the joy back. Just finished week 7 and really finding it a chore rather than a pleasure. Anyone else had this? Reluctant to give it up but at the same time the last couple of weeks have been a struggle. Only had one enjoyable run out of the last six :-( Is this normal? Will the buzz come back? Help!!! Thanks in advance xxx

Me too! On week 8. Finding the running boring and not enjoyable.... until it's over. Hoping that my running mojo will return

Good luck to you too

I graduated 3 runs ago and I don’t always enjoy it. I enjoy getting back after a good run and feeling quite smug that I’ve been out and run.

Maybe you should have an extra rest day or 2. The whole thing took me longer than 9 weeks but I got there in the end. Also try and think of the benefits you will get if you carry on going.

You CAN do it!!

For me it’s a lot about what’s around me as I run rather than the running itself. As the runs get longer and the action of running takes less brain power, I find I can be bored in the same surroundings, so I’m now finding myself looking for routes of different lengths around my town.

Maybe you need a change of scenery?

I run various routes from my house but you’re right it’s the same scenery all the time. Will give it a go running elsewhere, thank you 😊

New playlists to match your mood - personally starting off a run with “A Town like Malice” helps me channel the grumpiness into the run!

Totally agree with the replies on here. Music and new routes help me. A change of route might work wonders. Good luck - stick with it. The running bug will be back soon 😁
