W4R1 - a nice young man and a "nice" πŸ˜‰ young man

Knowing I would have to work late today I took my running kit in with me. So about 6ish I change and head up to the gym (That sounds more glamourous than it really is!) I was fully expecting to have the gym to myself but on approach I could hear voices so that's multiple people in there 😱😱😱. I nearly turned tail but gave myself a stern talking too and headed in...

I climb aboard the treadmill only to find it's out if order 🀬. The only other being occupied by a chap who I don't know. He asked if it was running I specifically needed to do, naturally I said yes, for 30 mins but I would come back tomorrow. Well bless him he offers to move to the elliptical thingy so I can have the treadmill. What a nice young man.

So who's the "nice" πŸ˜‰ young man you may be thinking. Horror of all horrors it's only the cutest guy in the company! He's sat on one of the exercise bikes and will have a direct view of my butt 😟 😟 I should mention that I'm probably old enough to be his mother (just) but that doesn't mean I'm not mortified to be displaying my wobbly bits in front of him πŸ™ˆ

What about the actual run? Well that was the easiest part of the whole affair πŸ˜‚ Being on a treadmill obviously helped me keep a sensible pace which made the 5 min runs almost enjoyable. My jogging pace was only 5.5km per hour so a way to go before I reach the heady heights of 5km in 30 mins. But it's done and I'm looking forward to my run on Wednesday.

I seem to have rambled on some what so will shut up now 🀐

Happy running folks xxx

Awesome! I have to do W4R1 tonight and I’m a bit scared of it. Runkeeper is telling me my average pace is like 10.30 minutes per km so I would probably be faster walking πŸ˜…

Me too! My last outdoor run was 10.38 I think I was probably slower than that on last night's treadmill but the consistency of pace was helpful. I struggle with that outdoors.

Slow and steady does the job x

Anyways I have every faith that you will smash your run tonight πŸ’ͺπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ†
