Hi all.

Just completed week 1 run 1 and feel great!

Rapidly aproachong 50 and need to get fitter and thinner!

Loving the ap so far. (Staying off the beer will be the hardest part I fear!)

Why stay off the beer? I reward myself with a beer (or wine) after a run.. Hasn't done me any harm, still losing weight and getting fitter

I think I phrased it badly.

I'm just trying to generally cut down on the booze a bit rather than stop altogether

I agree with your reward system and am enjoying a nice red right now🍷🍷😀

Welcome! I started c25k a few weeks after my 49th birthday, determined to improve my fitness before I hit 50. The coming weeks will bring some challenges, but believe me it will be worth the effort.

And with regards to the beer, I used to treat myself to a Guinness after each run. After all, it's supposed to be good for you :)
