Started week 1 of C5K. Got back after half an hour, collapsed on the sofa and had to send out a search party to recover my lungs. I am going to need the rest of today to recover. This is supposed to be good for me right?

If we had a way of tagging quotable quotes, I would tag, "Had to send out a search party to recover my lungs"
It's meant more to be enjoyable than to be good for you, actually; but I suspect you already are enjoying it in a sick, twisted kind of way. Keep on enjoying it like that (or in a traditional, semi-normal kind of way), and you'll get grumpy if you miss a run.
I know exactly how you are feeling right now, but keep going and you'll be amazed by how much you improve! I'm on week 6 and today I ran for two lots of 10 minutes- and I was just like you in the first week!
Ha ha! Yes I remember that feeling but it does get easier. Honest. Keep at it, run very slowly and take your time going through the programme and well done for starting in the first place!
Your lungs aren't anywhere near my marbles are they? I haven't seen those in ages.
Well done for starting - wk 1 really is the hardest challenge to get over. Once you start it becomes a little obsessive. I too am on wk 6 and I too remember exactly where you are and reading a similar post, thinking wk 6??? Really??? Can you actually remember what it was like back here where I am?
