I’m starting W5 on Monday and considering doing my R3 (20mins) at parkrun. Can I incorporate my warm up walk and extend cool down walk to finish.

Very nervous but excited at the prospect too!!🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

I walked the whole thing before I started this. Many run walk it at ours... why not? It’s a great experience.

Go for it, and most of all have tons of fun doing so! That’s the beauty of parkrun - you can get round the 5k at whatever pace you like.

We look forward to hearing how you get on! Good luck! 😀👏👏

You can... just do your set run and enjoy. Don't be tempted to run it all :)

Yes! ... definitely ... there are always a few people walking the whole way so no problem.

Start near the back so you don't feel overwhelmed by the whippets overtaking you, then take it slow and steady and do your own thing.

There's always a tail walker so you definitely won't be last.

Let us know how you get on. Good luck and happy running!

Thank you all, you’ve convinced me. Roll on Saturday and W5R3. (Although I do have to get through runs 1 & 2 😂)

Just follow the programme.

Do listen to the talk for new parkrunners, remember your barcode, register your club as NHS C25k and have a great time.
