I have a permanent lower back injury so I’m trying to get more fit in order to up my strength, but it’s a fine line between achieving that and making it worse. Does anyone have any advice on how to manage a jogging habit and caring for your back? I have decent shoes, that’s about as far as I’ve gone.

Thank you! Yes I have talked to my GP and my physio (who told me definitely no marathons, but we’re in no danger there!). I will read through the FAQ for sure. I think maybe there’s a little trial and error involved. But so far so good!
That is brilliant... the right shoes and socks too....trying to land every lightly as well...I call it kissing the ground with your feet.. and always, always listening to your body
