W8R2 crash

Having completed R1 I was reasonably confident though I did take two days rest before R2 as my left knee was giving me pain. It wasn’t the knee that stopped me though, the pain eased after ten minutes or so, it was the heat and humidity- so it’s indoors to a treadmill hoping it doesn’t put me back too far.

You’ll be fine... today’s run will continue the building progress very nicely... even a two week break wouldn’t take anything out of you. That humidity is the killer, screws all your cooling systems up. Go get it indoors!

How frustrating! Indoors sounds the way to go; I'm sure it won't slow you down too much x

Make sure that the knee is fine before you carry on.. if there is pain... don't run.

Thanks everyone for the support and tips. I completed W8R2 this afternoon, on the treadmill with no issues from the knee, I think that’s the way to go right now with heat and humidity so high- it’s 6pm and it’s 34C and 60% humidity!
