Slip slip will try tomorrow

As a teacher the first few days of term means it sucks every bit of energy you have. Last week it was easy. This week not so 😩I want to keep to schedule but I’m not able to do that. Week 2 will start on Friday

It’s okay. You just do what you can when you are ready. Maybe later in the week you can pick it up again, or on the weekend. It’s okay, stuff happens that drains us or we get a little sick sometimes and the running gets put on hold until we can pick it up again. Good luck.

Yeah, former teacher here, you'll get no judgement from me! Good luck for Friday, I hope going forward you manage to carve out some space for your running, you'll feel so much better for it; don't beat yourself up if you don't manage 3 times a week, what you can do is what you can do. It all helps.

Thanks it’s always hectic and I will get out there to do week 2 after recharging my batteries. I needed an afternoon nap 💤 today !

Good luck with that Catherine, you know you can do it !

I struggle too , working between day and night duty completely wrecks me but getting out in the fresh air definitely helps lift that feeling 😊

I thought you had retired Catherine... I’ve still a couple of years to go, when my youngest girl finishes uni ... I finish too😂

I don’t know what level you teach at... is it possible to incorporate this into school? Maybe develop a class of budding runners in PE if you teach primary. Maybe a stupid idea, but it just popped in my head.

I’m in secondary and working PT for the first time since 1989! I should be able to get into a routine soon. Thanks for your advice. We have a Parents eve on Tuesday so I’m going to take my running 🏃‍♀️ gear in and do a run once school finishes 👍🏃‍♀️

You’ll be getting lots of cross training in then... this is doable two days a week, stealing the odd other one when you can is a bonus.

As an ex primary school teacher I really sympathise, the beginning of term is so busy and stressful 😕. But keep going I am sure you will find it very beneficial. All the best with week 2.

I really sympathise.

Yesterday I had a crazy rush to run between staff meeting and Slimming World. It reminded me exactly why Wed is not usually a run day for me!! 😂
