Are you stretching? I do a few stretches before I run and again afterwards. Also try an Epsom Salts bath after as that helps with the aches.

Good luck!!

It is possible that your legs are aching as they are not used to all the running you are now doing. Try 2 days off before your next run

Aching isn’t a bad thing. Make sure any pre run stretches are the right ones... they need to be dynamic... static stretches are for post run. Relax before the next one and slow down if you think you need to to complete the run.

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and includes links to appropriate stretching.

Your body will get used to the exertion as it strengthens. Slowing down imparts less stress to your legs. You can speed up when stronger.

Try a day off in between and a hot bath plus try to stay moving the next day and keep

Your fluids up too
