Weekly distance increasing

Sat here at work waiting for some parts so thought I would like at my runs since graduation, the second time.

Well it seems I am doing about 3.5-4km 2 or 3 times a week and averaging about 5.5km on a weekend. It seems for my current size I am doing around a Km in man average time.of 8.5 minutes. Since the start of July I have been out virtually every other morning which is more than I have ever run even at school.

Not worried about the pace as I am trying to keep a steady elevated heart rate for the time running. On flat runs I average about 136bpm whilst my inclined runs it is about 10bpm higher.

I have noticed that getting down to normal heart rate is quicker now.

Looking forward to keeping it going over the Winter.

Nice going Andy! It’s amazing how we become fitter without realising isn’t it? And very cool. 😎 We’re runners. Who knew? 😀🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️😀

What a great way to look at your post-grad stats! I think people sometimes worry about pace / distance too much (myself included) but I think looking at elevated heart rate and the following recovery to a normal rate is a good idea. That’s a good measure of how your fitness is improving.

I think I’m going to look at the same things when I graduate in a few weeks!
