No food before run today, this is not usual for me, I like my cereal and cuppa, wait 30 mins then go. But this was good, and I’ve read that it’s better for your body too. So this could be my new routine. Much easier as just throw on the running gear, do a few stretches and good to go! Happy running everyone 👍🏻👋🏃🏻♀️

My routine is always a fasting run. I’m aware that it’s good because it trains your body to burn fat for ever rather than the glycogen stored from eating carbs, which is a lot easier for your body to burn.
That’s not why I do it though.
I just run first thing in the morning because the park is quieter, there’s no shady teens lurking, and then I go to work and eat breakfast there (usually a granola yoghurt pot thing).
If I decided to run after work, I’d get in from work (I walk the 2.5k there and back every day) I wouldn’t do it because: I like sitting down!!! Hahaha.
First thing in the morning, although it’s tough to get out of bed, is my favourite time to run as well it’s a great routine and it’s out the way then so you can enjoy your time in the evening guilt free!
I’m a bite of banana person! 🍌 Can’t manage a whole one before a run, but I like a tiny bit of fuel, so that and a sip of water does it for me! 😀
I eat the rest of banana on the way home where I have a well deserved breakfast! I much prefer running in the mornings too! 🏃♀️🏃♀️🍌🍌😀😀

I can’t eat and run. I have to run on empty. It’s not like I’m not well stocked on energy as a healthy westerner!!
I like run at about 9/10am then enjoy a really good brunch.
I can't run with a restorative cuppa, but the thought of any solid food before of a run just nauseates me. And takes up the space that a post-run bacon sarnie should have. And a slice of cake for elevenses
