Good morning and hello there. This month it is my turn to bring us all together in the what is your week chats. I can see we have really grown since the last time I did this, it is great to see so many new faces. I thought the quote below as very apt to how I used to feel going through the program I was so eager to feel like a runner it was my main motivation. Now I am a runnner and I love it.
We are growing so much at the moment and we wanted to have a little fun post ,so we can see who is on what week of the programme, and hopefully it will help everyone to feel more included on the forum.
Please remember it doesn't matter if you stay on the same week for a while, that is fine; it is a journey and it really doesn't matter how long it takes, it will be so worth it when you get to the final run.
If you have just graduated, this will be a great place to keep you motivated, there is always the Quest on the Bridge to 10k forum as well for graduates.
I will add all the names from this week under this post. Every week for the month of August the names will roll over into another post.
Let's get a good list going so we can support each other.
(Come on you lurkers, you can do it as well. ?)

Start of my last week. Week 9 run 1 tonight. For some reason my warm up brisk walk and cool down walk are still at a faster pace than my actual running but at 62 who cares.
I don’t think that matters at all! Not going for speed at this time, it’s being able to run for the specified time that matters. Don’t forget to get your Graduate Badge, just a run or two to go!
I did my first park run 😁 34.33 not bad for 48 and over weight 😉
Graduated a couple of weeks ago. So still consolidating 5k. Always take Micheal Johnson with me too.. when he says I've finished,i just carry on until 5k.
Week 2, run 3 this evening for me ... previously being an avid despised of running, I can't believe I've even stuck it out this far AND I'm constantly thinking about running which is utter madness! Who would have thought it!
W6R2 completed yesterday so stepping up to 25 mins tomorrow! Nervous yet excited, hopefully it won't be as emotional as my 20 min run last week I cried for most of the run! Tears of amazement and achievement by the way 😊 have an awesome week guys 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Just completed my last run of week 4 . Things are getting easier now with the lower leg pain of the first 3 weeks almost gone now, all that is left of any aches and pains is my slightly tight plantar fascia on my right foot and tight hamstrings. The first week of the plan I struggled to run for 30 seconds and now I'm comfortably running 15 minutes in total. Anybody who has any doubt in this plan needs to trust in it 100% its been life changing for me and I'm really enjoying it. In addition to my fitness levels improving I have also lost 1lb and 1 half oz, I'm a big guy starting this at 15 stone 10 and I also do karate once a week. Loving life at the moment.
