3 weeks ago I would have been the last person on earth to do running. My friend suggested it. 3 weeks in I can actually say I'm enjoying it. I'm not quick to say the least. The only thing is the breathing. I can't seem to find a way to control it. I've looked at advice and listened to the tips on the app. Can I just ask for some bullet points from others in my position. Thanks in advance.

Well done so far and you are going slow which is also fab 😊
Lots of people struggle with the breathing thing - try not to over think it - trying to force yourself into a pattern like the one suggested on the app actually can make it more difficult. Just breathe as you normally do - if you are out of breath or struggling you are going too fast even if you think you aren't. Keep your pace slow and just let your body do it's thing.
Best of luck for next wk x

Great progress, well done! I agree with Bandit's advice above. The breathing techniques didn’t work for me, so now I just... well, breathe! It's a very natural thing and I think your lungs have had plenty of practice over the years 😀

Best advice I can give you on breathing is to not think about it. When you complete a run, your breathing must have been good enough! Like your legs, your heart and lungs are also gaining fitness, so the breathing pattern in the app could be ideal, once you’re established as a runner... never worked for me even when I was.
You’re a third of the way through this... well done!
