Was determined to run 5K by the end of August and I did it!!!! In 38 mins!!!!
It was a run of many firsts:
First run with friend - this really helped to distract me from time/distance, so thanks to Rachel my new running buddy
First run in the cool! No heat at last!
First run in driving rain - I loved it!!!
First run in cap - it really does keep the rain off your glasses!!!
First run in my C25K graduate tshirt (sorry, it didn’t make the cut in the photo)
Curry and wine now! 🍷
Happy running peeps! 🏃♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♂️

Boom! Great job and done with a week to spare! That rain is great isn’t it? Wonder if we will be saying that in February?

It’s the ice and bitter cold I’m not looking forward to.... one run at a time 😊

Congrats on many firsts and running a 5k. Lovely cap which perfectly matched “the photo top”.
Your friend’s enthusiasm shows through in the picture. Girl power rocks. 😀😀

Excellent. Well done and congratulations. It’s a great feeling to hit 5K isn’t it. I’m training again after being on the IC for a few months. So hoping to be up to 5k again in the next week or two.

Omg well done! I was just saying to my friend on the run how rubbish I am at hills. She’s making an autumn plan for me (apparently autumn good time to build hill running). 3k uphill is awesome!!! 💪

Wow ..that is great ...what determination .There is hope for me then . I am doing about 2.5 miles in 30 mins ..sorry i don't know that in KM .
Reply (1)Report
Well that’s about what I do in a good 30 min run, sometimes less, so you’re in good company 😂 5k is about 3 miles. Add 2-3 mins on each week, and you’ll do it!!!

That sounds doable ...if i remember to go slowly 😁

Well done you , like you I didnt run 5k until I went out with my daughter think having a buddy a great motivator. Only run in rain once and did enjoy it but seem to be battling coastal winds most of the time here. Also started to run my route the other way so I go uphill not down to improve my stamina it seems to be working. keep un running. ps Did you buy a special T shirt or is their one avaiable for C25K ?
