I graduated nearly three weeks ago but today was the first time I've actually run the 5k and I'm sooo chuffed!
There have been a couple of other days when I though I might have been able to do it but I came to the end of my route and so I slowed down to walk but today... well today, I took the obvious action (why didn't I do this before?) of simply running all the way back home and then turning around, running back quarter of a mile, then turning again and walking home. So simple!
Actually I probably looked simple too but if the people in the houses I passed three times have got time to be watching me, well, they should be out running too!!
I'm doing my first parkrun on Saturday and suddenly I'm so much more confident. Woohoo!!

Well done! As Oldfloss said - a real achievement! Lots of people (me! me! me!) don't achieve 5k in less than 3 weeks after graduating. Good on you and good luck for the park run.
Well done! I'm at week 8 and was becoming disheartened at only running 3k at the most so tonight decided to do similar to you and keep going til if done 4K. It took 36 minutes but I was very pleased! Good luck with park run! 😊😊😊
Thank you, thank you. Now I feel its ok to wear my C25K pin badge, it didn't seem quite right before I'd actually done 5k - may be at parkrun tomorrow!!
