Arghhh!! .... Which shorts?!?

I’m looking to buy a pair of running shorts and could do with some help.

There is so many different types, Lycra, 50% Cotton plus loads of other materials I’ve never heard of.

Do you get baggy ones tight ones? What’s best?

Some have built in underwear some don’t??

Some are 2 in 1 and something about compression fit or something?

😂😂😂

It’s all a bit of a minefield!

I’d love some help!!!

Hi Dave,

I started out with a couple of pairs of these from Sports Direct.

sportsdirect.com/karrimor-l...

Very pleased with them. I've since bought 2 more pairs.

You’re welcome 😁👍

Seriously though. Technical running fabrics really good but cheap as chips. If you want better pockets and more of them the price goes up a tad. I just paid £5 for some Roxy swim shorts, with three pockets. I run in them, and the pockets are dead useful for key and phone, specs in the other side pocket

I generally shop at Lidl or Aldi and their run stuff is good. Sportsdirect always has bargains If you have lots of dosh then a good make is Ron Hill. I love their stuff, and it can be found in SD quite often.

Thank you for that. I appreciate your help 😁

There are some TCA brand shorts on Amazon, good prices and with zippy pockets.

Three broad choices - ones with a mesh lining just like swimming shorts, great for warmer weather, ones with a “compression” liner and ones with no liner.

The no liner ones really need a pair of compression shorts under them. I wear those in colder weather and a pair of very vented mesh-lined ones in hot weather b

The mesh ones can chafe over longer distances.

Thank you for your helpful reply. I will look in to some compression liner shorts I think. 👍

Ones that don't fall down?

Avoid "figure hugging" lycra too, unless you're in great shape or are an exhibitionist.

I've always like basketball shorts. Nice and light, no liners, decent length.

Haha 😂 yes will probably avoid Lycra!!
