SO SLOW

I have just completed run 2 of week 3 and I am covering less distance. I only managed 2.5k for this run (jog). How far have others ran in week 3? Thanks

We all cover different distances... and it does not matter at all... :)

What matters is just doing the runs, slowly, steadily and enjoyably:) The ground we cover, the pace we make, varies... I can run routes, I have done oodles of time previously, and each time, the time taken and distance covered will be different:)

Well done you...:)

I ran W3R1 yesterday and just barely hit the 2 km mark 😅 (that's actually slower than my walking pace). I don't mind, I'm pretty thrilled that I can jog for three whole minutes !

Don't fret. Concentrate on the positives (YOU JUST RAN YOUR 8TH RUN!). There is no point comparing as we are all different shapes and sizes, levels of fitness, age etc.

Have fun!

I didn’t even start tracking my distance until after graduation it was all about getting up to running for 30 minutes. I did run the same route every time though so was aware that some days I made it further along the path than others but didn’t ever worry about it. Although it’s called couch to 5k barely anyone actually covers 5k in 30 minutes pre graduation (and some of us snails 🐌 probably never will!!!). Don’t get caught up in the distance just enjoy the fact that you are running and for a longer time each week.😀

P.S as many people will tell you on here....there is no such thing as running too slow 🐌🏃🏻‍♀️

As everyone else has said, don’t worry about distance or what the next person is doing. You’re doing brilliantly. Stick with it and you’ll get faster and cover more distance over the next few weeks and beyond. Don’t forget this is only week 3 so don’t be so tough on yourself. You CAN do this 😊

What matters is that you finish. Every run is different and consistency takes time. Just keep going. I only managed a full 5k a couple of weeks after graduating. Focus on the time and he pace will build :)
