Good morning 😊 I followed all your advice and took it slow this morning.....or so I thought!! At the end of my 28 minutes I felt so happy I kept going and managed 5km in 32 minutes. It’s mind over matter, I went into it feeling relaxed and am amazed. Thank you everyone for helping me relax. 👍🏻

My parkrun is definitely one of the easier ones but yesterday I did a PB of 31’55 “ (so pretty much the same time as you) and when the official results came out I was amazed to see there were MORE people behind me than ahead of me! No way you’ll be anywhere near last running 32’.

Well done your running 5K with enthusiasm and a sense of dIsbelief at the same time. I know the feeling as I am in week 6. If anyone had told me that I would take up running 🏃🏾♀️, I would have laughed at them as I had much preferred walking. However, I am now a converted or dare I say -a runner and like you really positive about what I am achieving by taking it slow. Thanks for your encouraging post. Well done👍🏻
