Got caught in a huge downpour today (W4R1) Think I may need to invest in a waterproof jacket. Any pointers would be most welcome. Thanks in advance

I can’t offer any advice but I too could do with knowing this. I put off running last night as it was absolutely chucking it down.

Good question. I’m looking forward to seeing the answer as the weather has certainly changed. Also, thinking of the rainy winter days we may have.

When it's warm I simply go out there, I get wet through sweating anyway. Keep a towel in the car if that's how you're getting to your running place.
Winter is different. I use a long sleeve tech top and a t-shirt, if it's really cold (around zero or below) I'll put the lightweight water-proof jacket on (with headgear & gloves) but after a few kilometres I'll take the jacket off unless it's raining heavily, in which case I'll wait. Getting wet in the winter is not a good idea.

I wouldn’t wear a jacket in this weather anyway. Just when it gets really cold.
