W6 r1 was hard!!

I've read posts from several people saying they found this run hard and I was no different! Was finding the 8 minute run really tough...pace wasn't that fast either. Can't quite work out why πŸ€” (Maybe a few glasses of wine last night contributed!) Anyway another one in the bag πŸ™‚πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’ͺ

Well done! I'll be running w6r2 on Monday as I didn't quite make it on my last run. Not sure what it is about w6! Especially after running for 20 mins on week 5πŸ™„

I was feeling quite invincible after my 20 minute run...Maybe a much needed reality check πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Thank you and good luck!! πŸ’ͺ

Wine will certainly dehydrate you a little... more sipping of water before and the morning after.

You completed the run though, worry about pace later. Well done, you got this.

Yuk yuk, W6R1, it’s a nasty one alright! But well done for getting through and now you can move on. Keep slow and steady for R2, then R3 onwards gives you the opportunity to relax into longer runs with no walk breaks - better somehow. πŸ˜€

Keep having fun! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜€

Thank you cheekychipmunks! Never thought running with no breaks would be better but I think you're right!! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜±

Definitely easier not to stop! Good for you for battling to the end.

I had the same feeling and thought that it was maybe being so far into the programme. I took a three day rest and felt better afterwards and am now in week 7. I just completed a 25 minute run, my pace dropped but Laura reminded me this is about building up stamina. It’s still hard though when you see your pace drop. I ended up doing my best times on run 3 in week 6, this dropped last night but I ran for longer. It’s funny how you start focussing on these things and forget that 7 weeks ago I’d be happy running at any pace for 25 mins! πŸ˜€ Stick with it, you can do this πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Very true...I'd take any pace if I can keep running for 5k! 6 weeks ago I never believed it was possible, now I can't wait to keep testing myself on every new run and am starting to believe i can do it. How things change!

Well done on getting to week 7...finishing line is nearly in sight πŸ˜‰

Wk6R1 is the worst! I’ve done C25K twice (don’t ask!) and found the same both times - loved week 5 hated week 6. However 7, 8 & 9 were great! Stick with it - you can do it- really you can πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸŽ

I'm sure you'll be fine. Seems to be a bit of a bogey run for some people. Good luck!

It's fine...just one to battle through rather than enjoy! Might not be the same for you πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
