5 to Ouch K

So my little boy asked me why I had to do "more" exercise (I mentioned to my wife I want to get back to my long walks again) when I'm already doing "5 to Ouch K". Seems an appropriate name for some of those less fun runs!

Walking alongside doing the programme is really good. Try and walk more in general. I hardly ever use my car these days 😃👍. Doing more walking, and being more active will help your running 💪🏃‍♂️

Before I attempted C25K, I got back to being walk fit over a couple of months ending with a 7 mile walk taking 1hr 45 minutes which made me realise I was probably ready to move on.

Since C25K I've not had the legs to do much walking in between runs. I've done the odd 2 or 3 mile slow(ish) walk but nothing further. I miss my longer walks so I'm hoping now I'm approaching the end (I had an aborted attempt at W8R2 just now but that was due to terrain / location) I will be able to go back to some fast 4+ mile walks.

I don’t mean hikes. Just walking from A to B, shops etc. It all adds up 😃
