5k hooray!!

I accidentally ran 5k today. It was meant to be week 9 run 2 and I was slightly dreading the 30 mins but once I started, I seemed to get into a lovely pace, the morning was beautiful and I actually (almost) forgot I was running. I'm no speedster and when 30mins arrived, I'd covered about 3.6km. I was feeling so good that I decided to keep on going and I actually made it to 5k in 44 mins and 24s. It felt momentous, like I'd crossed this huge barrier. I feel like my day should be different somehow, maybe a fanfare as I walked back through my front door or a special hat I get to wear for the day 😂! I may have to go and buy myself something running related to celebrate (any excuse)!

Well, if you’d told us you were gonna do that we could have all been waiting at your front door, we must have a couple of people able to do a fanfare!

Thanks for the thought 😂. I might just bribe my children to cheer and clap every time I walk into a room they're in for the rest of the day (it's going to have to be a big bribe though!!).😂
