I completed w8r2 nearly three weeks ago. Was feeling so pleased as it was all going so well and I was starting to see and feel a difference. I was also amazed I could run for 28 minutes.
However, the next day I had a swollen ankle and it coincided with a trip to London and lots of walking on it for a couple of days.
I have not attempted running since.
Swelling has now gone but still aches if I walk more than 5 mins. Worried I will lose the fitness if I don't run soon but don't want to start running and make it worse.
I cannot believe I have a "sports " injury 😁. Any advice please?

Probably all that has happened, you had a twinge, or had turned the ankle somehow and then , when you might have rested normally. you were on a trip and walked
Get the ankle rested... we are not medically qualified, but if it hurts..don't run. We don't lose fitness that quickly... two to three weeks, makes little difference, especially further on in the plan..
You can do some upper body exercise and sitting ones too... just get the foot right and if the pain persists,,, get it checked out,
The trouble with injury form running, it can me hidden injury and can happen at any time at all, to anyone of us
Thanks. It is quite uneven terrain in the park so I am sure it's down to that. I will try and find flatter ground when I re start. Can't wait to get back to it which has really surprised me
