I ran my first 5k last week - wasn’t bothered about chasing a time, I just wanted to finish it, which thankfully I did. Today I thought I'd have another bash, this time along a mountain trail with lots of ups and downs. As usual Mrs t_m sprinted off into the distance while I sorted out phone, radio 2, headphones and Garmin. I caught her after about 3k. At the end I'd knocked over 4 minutes off my previous time, with all my splits around 7 and a half minutes whereas previously they'd all been 8 minutes plus.
Very happy bunny.

Great photo, Switzerland isn't exactly a flat country so you would expect ups and downs among the mountains. Congratulations on knocking off 4 minutes from your previous runs.
Well done Mike! I got back from the Tyrol on Saturday and while I was away I did tons of walking but gave myself a running break. I kept thinking 'this route would be lovely to run on' at various points though so I wish I'd taken my trainers! Congrats on the great 5m time
