Tight calf’s. Sniggering people queuing to get an ice cream! I just bit my tongue and ran on. Just couldn’t manage it tonight felt really down and had to walk for 5 mins only managed 12 mins of running. Oh well try again soon.

I’m struggling at the moment too! The heat is getting to me and I’ve just completely lost my mojo! Try not to feel down though, 12 minutes of running is a heck of a lot better than 0 minutes of running! Stay positive!

12 minutes of running is good going... means you’re above average fitness. Heat is bad, try to avoid it, it’s worse than hills! Factor the heat in to your results. Big marathons are in the spring and autumn for a reason. I’m just starting out, at 65F I can run 3 minutes.. at 80F I cant run one.

Well done. Those sniggering people in the ice cream queue probably never ran a mile in their lives. Part of this journey is learning to ignore those people... I still won’t train near people I know, so I drive 5 miles before any activity. Way to go for running past them, the mental journey is half the battle.

We all get good days and bad days. Next run could be full of personal bests.. 😉👍

12 minutes more running than people queuing for the ice cream.

In this heat I say Bravo for even going out. Keep at it and stay positive. A 12 minute run is still better than a 0 minute run as Hev1988xx said

12mins is ace. Keep positive... I’ve had to teach myself to squash negative thoughts (I use to run thinking “urgh, my stomach is wobbling, I look so sweaty, I’m going slower than a walker”), I now try hard to think - “yeah good on you slow, sweaty, chubby girl - you are smashing this! Week 1 was a killer and here I am now running for 25mins!”. I hope your next run is a breeze 👍X

Do not let those sniggerers get you down! You were running, they were in the queue for ice cream, what more do I need to say? You have come so far and done so well. Next run will be better. 👍💪😊
